Olivia Palermo, the feisty accessories editor at Elle Magazine, is most women’s idea of the worst co-worker. But despite her work ethic, she can dress.

On MTV’s show “The City” Palermo is always equipped with sky high heels and an incredible wardrobe.

Her outfits never look out of place. She pulls together a look with effortless fashion ability, not looking too overdone but just relaxed and confident in what she is wearing.

At the premier of  Going Broke, Palermo wore the hottest trend this season, the patterned black tight.

I have skeptical of this trend because it tends to resemble a high quality pair of fishnet stockings, but these particular tights look sophisticated because the width of the pattern.

Palermo’s tights have a defined patterned that cannot be taken for anything other than classy.

The funky tights remain calm because Palermo uses neutrals in her outfit to allow the tights to take center stage. If she were to wear a bright it would distract the eye and result in a sloppy-looking outfit.

The short black skirt, if longer would look odd because the tights need at least a few inches above the knee to create a long line.

If the skirt was to her knee it would make her legs look bigger than they are.

Palermo’s outfit is classy with an added touch of edge with the patterned tights. If you keep the look simple the trend of the season is easy to pull off and astonishingly practical for the upcoming winter months.
