Helium Magazine is…
A Solution.
Before you browse through our galleries, read our blogs, pick up our magazine or come to any of our fashion shows, we here at Helium want you to ask yourself one question: are you part of Silicon Valley’s community?
If the answer is yes, and you have gone on to do the aforementioned things, then we thank you for supporting it. Helium Magazine’s mission is to lift fashion from the shadows of Silicon Valley by featuring up-and-coming designers, promoting local businesses and boutiques, and giving talented people an outlet to be seen.
Even with all of its cultural and artistic diversity, Silicon Valley is still only known for the tech industries that ballooned in the dotcom boom of the 90’s. Helium Magazine wants to change that by developing our fashion industry into a formidable force that can walk up to the runways of New York and say “Real fashion is on this side of the island.”
A network.
Silicon Valley is full of talented people. However, we can only get so far by focusing on personal gain. Helium Magazine is a place where makeup artists, hair stylist, designers, writers, photographers, graphic artists and event planners can collaborate for a common purpose. Probably after a “wax on, wax off” speech, a wise man once said that a stick can be easily broken. But a bundle of sticks is almost like a branch which really isn’t that easy to break at all. Or something like that…
A staff.
Helium Magazine’s core consists of over 40 devoted individuals in seven departments that produce our fashion shows, create our publications, and manage our photo shoots that feature local designers.
A Publishing House.
Helium Magazine is first, and foremost, a magazine. Our online edition features daily blog posts from our expert writers as well as weekly Fashion Features on new designers. Helium Magazine published the Atomic Fashion Show Zine on September 30th featuring profiles on designers on the show. Our first full 12×12″ issue– The Elemental Fashion Show Issue — launched on May 15th at Stanford’s Charity Fashion Show and was distributed with our Event Guides for West Valley’s Revival Fashion Show, during San Francisco Chic Fashion Week, and at the Goodwill’s Generations of Change Fashion Show. Subscriptions of our print issues are currently by invitation only and ships across the United States.
An Epicenter.
All of our work, promotion, networking, events and magazines serve to fulfill one primary purpose: to become an epicenter for fashion. Aside from striving to produce the highest caliber image, Helium Magazine will be the one to turn to for everything fashion. Forget Google, Helium’s got your back.
